Hello Everybody!
We're hearing that your children are loving the music this semester: Lauren's girls love Bim Bam and Play the Drum. (They're the ones who shook those simmons down and made pudding last fall!) Their youngest seemed to be sleeping throughout the entire semester at that time but apparantly that's not all she was doing. A couple of weeks ago she traded scarves with a gentleman at Meadow View, and has literally awakened singing and dancing as if she had been doing it all along. It really goes to show how much babies and young children are absorbing as they observe their family and friends in class.
As adults we think of learning through our eyes and ears. But actually, we learn throughout our entire bodies. This is especially true for babies. Babies absorb so much information through their bodies and are busy forming an astounding number of neural connections. Whenever you bounce, rock, or tap your baby, you are helping them form dozens of musical connections while they enjoy being close to you.

Summer Session includes two classes beginning Tuesdays, June 9 for 4 weeks, and Fridays, June 12 for 5 weeks. Pricing: $80 for first child and $10 for 1st sibling (over 9 mos. and less than 6). Remaining siblings and siblings under 9 mos. or over 6 yrs. attend free. Registration opens May 11.
